Apple requires a court order for a person to have access to a deceased’s Apple accounts. This court order must specify the name and Apple ID of the deceased, the name of the next of kin, that the decedent was the user of all accounts associated with the Apple ID, that the requestor is the decedent’s legal personal representative, and a judgment signed by the court.
